Playa Manzanillo is a beautiful bay and is two bays south of  Carizallio beach.  It is considered the nicest family beach in town with swimming and snorkeling . Manzanillo is more protected from heavy surf and is often used as a swimming beach when Carizallio has surf.  Rocks, on the south side of the bay, surround it.  You will  find tide pools in the rocks perfect for little kids to play in the water and some shade under palm trees. There are Palapas for rent along the beach which offer food and drinks during the day.

Cliff Side walk

At the top of the Manzanillo stairs there is a road leading out of cactus point neighborhood.  At the intersection of this road and the main street, turn right and follow the road to the bluff;  at your right hand side of the  viewpoint are stairs which lead you down too a beautiful walking path in the rocks along the coastline ending in Playa Principal.  Bring water; it is so beautiful the walk is always longer for the first time visitor.
